read, reading, will read

N.P. here
I have just finished reading a Czech book. it was about two kids who have a magnifying glass, that one of them made. The magnifying glass was (you could call it) "MAGICAL." It was made in a way that allowed it to see through things. it cannot see through more than 1 object. in the story there is a girl(the main character) and her best friend (a boy). in this book they go to a ZOO and find out that a tiger has escaped from his cage. later on the main character finds out that the tiger (which got away from the ZOO) was not deadly. She saw on the news that one of her friends has been "eaten by the tiger." She and her friend (The boy, not the "eaten" one) find the tiger and give it back to the ZOO, and they find the person who captured the friend who was thought to be eaten. All in all a good book. The author turns out to be German, it was translated into Czech and I being American read it for school, is that ironic or what? Thats all for now, please comment!

I admire your expanation skill. Just in couple of sentences you explain what is that book about and it makes sense. Great job.
And yes, it is ironic, sort of like im czech, read english book in germany =)

So proud you finished your book and worked on your report before Spring Break. Glad you love to read. That's something we have in common!

I was just thinking that there seems to be a common theme in your books - people who appear to be dead (or assumed dead) who actually aren't. I'm thinking of this book and the book with the fish cannery accident...is this a boy thing or a book thing?

Keep reading! People who read well will always do well in life, and you are never alone; you always have the people in your book at you beck and call.
